Ca. 55 – 60 HRC (depends on the laser parameter adjustment). Laser Mold 10 designs hot cracks. |
Repairing of incejtion molds e.g. from the named alloys we recommend use alternatively Laser Mold 90, which enables the welder to have a crackfree buildup welding. |
Laser Mold 10 PLUS |
1.3348 (HS2-9-2) |
Laser Mold 10PLUS can be applied without problems with 1.2379, 1.2363, 1.2080, SKDII, HPM31, GGG70L, GG25, DC53, SKH 51, Z160CDV12, Vanadis 23, Vanadis 30, ASP 23, ASP 30, Toolox33 directly and crack free on fine edges (maximum height 0,50 mm) |
Yes |
60 – 65 HRC |
Free of cracks laser weldings can only be obtained without any problems when the tool is preheated on a temperature of 80°C - 100°C. If it is not preheated there will be spontaneously formed W-carbides which are non-reversible. ?aser Mold® 10 PLUS can be used with a powerful laser welding unit e.g. Pulspower 300 Watt up to wire size of 0,60 mm. For ?aser Mold® 10 PLUS a pulse time of at least 10 ms should be adjusted.
If there is a big welding volume needed an interface layer with ?aser Mold® 10 PLUS is recommended. (At least 2/3 of the welding bath height needed.)
To guarantee a free of cracks welding the welding volume of ?aser Mold® 10 PLUS needed should not exceed 0,5 mm of the welding height.

COPPER (Cu) |
|||||
Laser Kupfer Mold Cu 100 % |
|
For copper electrodes, micro repairs on copper electrodes, in tool- and die production. Welding connection on electrical parts and on microelectronics. |
No |
|
Because of the low absorption of the wave-length 1064 nm and the very good heat conductivity of the material Cu the treatment of Cu with a laser is difficult and only very little volumes can be melted off.
The welding result can be definitely improved if *DSI Beam-Absorber is used. The application has to be made with each new welding
Application fo DSI Beam Absorber: Rises the absorption factor on high reflective and therefore difficult to weld materials on Cu-basic materials. (e.g. copper electrodes, ampcoloy and beryllium copper)

Mold and die production on high strentgh aluminium alloys (AlMg4, 5Mn0,7). |
No |
|
?aser Alu Mold CA is a white alloy, which adapts in colour and in its hardness to the base material.
?aser Alu Mold CA designs an oxide layer, which shows cracks on its surface. When long pulse times are adjusted the formation of cracks will not be continued in the weld metal. The oxid layer in the welding area should be removed mechanically before the welding starts. The weld metal should be mechanically thickened before it is polished. (by hammering).

|
|
Laser Alu Sint 380 Mold and Tool |
|
Special welding additive for bubbles and porosities on aluminium castings. When the material is welded the principle of diffusion is used, like it is originally used when soldering.
When applying with laser welding there is a combination of melting and diffusing. |
|
|
?aser Alu Sint 380 Mold and tool distinguishes by a high absorption of the laser beam, that is the reason why the parameters should be adjusted like follows: little pulse power (Kw = little voltage) and high pulse energy (Joule = long pulse times).
The focus diameter of the laser beam will be highly defocused so that the basic material will heat up and when adding ?aser Alu Mold 380 Mold and Tool a welding process of the welding additive will start immediately which is diffusing into the basic material at the same time.
Preheating of the component on about 80° C elevates the quality of the connection.

Titan (Ti) |
|||||
Laser Titan Grad 1 |
3.7025 |
Welding additive for applying and joining e.g. Ti-components in medical technology, pharmacy, electronic industry, sensor properties, temperature measurement, jewelery, dental, sonotronic (repair of sonotrodes in the ultrasound plastic welding technique).
Caused by the high absorbtion of the wave length 1064 nm and the slow heat conductivity ?aser Titan Grade 1 and ?aser Titan Grade 2 can be treated with the laser without any problems. |
No |
Soft |
It is very important to pay attention that the complete welding area is formed without spaces with minimum Argon 4.6 (5.0) to prevent a reaction with oxygen or carbon.
If ?aser Titan Grad 1 and ?aser Titan Grad 2 comes into touch with these components while welding a ?-case layer will be formed which causes rough cracks.
When a pipe has to be welded a forming has to be made in the inside of the pipe.
|
Laser Titan Grad 2 |
3.7035 |
Wide application range in technical appliance.
